Tony has actually sort of cleared out his lab. Okay, so he shoved everything behind a fire proof door in a 'closet' and called it clearing up. He's wearing his suit and Dummy is on stand by with an extinguisher. AC/DC is playing at a volume just low enough to be heard over. He hasn't actually had a chance to test the fire proofing on the building at excessively high temperatures. That's part of what this afternoon is about. It's also about testing Charlie's abilities. She's been here long enough and seems to have settled in well enough. It's a good time for it.
"Okay, let's start with a lower setting and work up. Hit me with your best shot, Baby."

He listens to the conversation but his eyes watch the scene through a computer monitor via the infrared video he helped Tony set up.
"Let's keep it at a simmer for now," he says without looking up, though he does show a hint of a smile.

Charlie stands, pose relaxed. Keep it to a simmer. She could do that, easily. And she's a bit happier with this set up than the one at the Shop. At least here, people seem to genuinely care. Not like Wanless or Hollister or that idiot Rainbird.
It's just a push, just a slight release and the firething is out. Not visibly if one were to watch the girl directly. Watching the monitors should tell of a shift in temperature around Tony.
She's keeping it slow for now.

He's actually very excited, though it's hard to tell through his constantly controlled calm. This is why he's a scientist. Experimenting and observing and just plain witnessing something new and cool. It's been a long time since he was able to do science purely for enjoyment, not for military projects or personal protection. It's a good feeling. It feels like coming home.
*i seriously forgot it was my turn. i am so sorry*
"How's that?" Charlie's with two men she actually trusts. Not that she'd say this just yet. Occasionally, she still tries to go for the cold stoicism she probably met them both with. But Tony and Bruce are excited and she can't help but smile just a bit.

The sound of whirring gets a bit louder then levels off, the temperature inside his suit dripping. "Alright, give me a little more."
He glances over at Bruce. "You getting what you need from this?"

Looking up for the first time since they started, he's startled by the lack of visible change in the room. "Charlie," he asks, "what should we expect to happen, if we go much further? Is this a Johnny Storm type situation, or something else? Let's just... let's just say surprises would be best avoided." His smile is a pathetic attempt at light-heartedness, but he doesn't want the excitement of an experiment plus spontaneous human combustion, if it comes to that, to equal Big Green and a very bad day.
i swear i thought i had this shit tracked.
"It would be interesting to figure out, though" she says after a pause. "That and watching The Last Airbender with Barton may have given me a few ideas."
Mainly from watching Iroh breathe fire and others fly with it.
